Located in the Department of Geography at the University of Montreal and directed by Dr Liliana Perez, the Laboratory of Environmental Geosimulation (LEDGE) hosts a research group interested in the study of the dynamics of complex geographic systems. Our research work focuses on developing hybrid approaches to improve spatial simulation. We create new algorithms for spatial processes, develop tools for experimenting with geographical systems, propose novel methodologies for conceptualizing spatial entities and the relationships between them, and apply simulation models to a variety of natural and urban environmental issues.
